i am so addicted to starbucks, my husband is annoyed by it. maybe i should just buy the jura coffee machine, maybe that will be cheaper in the long run? but i got to have the 2010 planner! then my sister wants her own planner. my wallet needs a break from unnecessary things (as my hubby calls them =D) because i still have to finish my christmas shopping. ok, i will compromise. after i get my plannerS (plural!), i will keep my starbucks intake to a minimum. say, 2 per day? =D

chatted with my sister and saw cayden, my nephew via webcam. oh my, he's grown so quickly! he can now crawl - fast!, roll over - fast! and pull himself up - fast! from a tiny teeny baby, he looks more like a toddler alredy! i hope the Clarks shoes i bought will fit him when i get to give them to him. it's for a one year old but you know how they grow up fast! i should have bought the one for 18 months! tsk tsk...

Christmas Dinner

our family is hosting this year's christmas dinner. actually, one of the christmas dinners. december is also my hubby and his uncle's bdays so there'll be a party as well. im not domesticated. i cant cook! if my mom's only here, she'll be able to help me. kaso she's not kya we might resort to booking a caterer for both events. *shivers sa gastos*.

that aside, it's "eating season" again and i will def not hold back! no need for appetite suppressants. xmas food is the best! i dont know, it's the most jolly time of the year, bkt magpapaka kj?

i thought that having car insurance will make our lives easier. when we had an accident (a truck rolled back on our car at slex during a traffic) last year, i thought claiming for damages will be easy. i was wrong! until now, we havent received a single penny!! our car insurance is expiring and i am bent on not renewing with that company. now i have to get an auto insurance quote but make sure that the company is reiable. it's one thing being bumped by someone not insured but it's another story having difficulty claiming fr your own insurance policy!!

my mom is on a roll. she's now in new jersey staying with her sister. that is after being in the uk for 6 months. now she's telling me they're going to las vegas at the end of the month. now im thinking, what can she buy for me? Jack Georges perhaps? im sure she'll be rolling her eyes again!

i've been bugging her to buy everything on my uber long list. i think she's only bought 2, so far! i just have a month left to convince her. uh-oh!

how many days is it till christmas? im almost done with my shopping because i dont want to cram at the last minute. i started mine early. if i see something, i go and buy it. the volume of people in malls will be horrific! yoko mastress at magkapimple prematurely, then needing acne products in the end *lol*

but i got a txt fr my dad asking me to help him shop for him. my mom's in the us, so he doesnt have anybody to help him. i told him i will if he gives me the money already so i can start soon. i would like to stay away fr the mall in december if kaya.

after blogging about abs-cbn's shooting tayong dalawa in our house, lots of people have been emailing and leaving shout outs requesting for further pics of our house. even my sister's blog has been inundated with requests! hanuba?! i dont know if they dont believe me that they need further proofs. my sister told me not to indulge them anymore , for security purposes, but i said, ala naman mawawala sa akin. and they wont be any threat to me or my family. the house is well secured. it's not like this post will have a handheld gps or something that they'll be able to stalk. but please, dont ask me to email them to you personally, wala akong time! saka why do u need the exact location for??

Halloween at the Hamptons

i know im half a month late (but has been in my drafts for ages!) with this post but been really busy meeting deadlines for the christmas dress up of our stores. i havent been abe to canvass for my nephew's bday suppliers as well but im hoping that before this month ends, i'll be abe to tackle non-work related projexts.

my most embarrasing experience? when i fell down the main stairs at the main building of UST. if you study/-ied there you would know that it's like a grand staircase in the middle of the building facing the main doors! if you slip or fall, you wont surely be missed *lol*. boy oh boy, to think me and my friends were trying to make pa-cute to this science guy. if only i have a fall protection to save my face!

Adam In Uniform

After I helped Adam put on his uniform, I've decided to take pictures of him, since I haven't had the chance to get one coz I am always in a hurry to go to work. Anyways, I was surprised that when I showed him the cam, he immediately posed and to top it all, I never told him to do that. And look at his hair, he did that by himself. He's quite a vain boy, well, where else would he inherit his vain-ness?! *lol*. that reminds me, i've got to buy the best diet pill for someone much vainer than me *lol*

im so excited for next year. my sister's family will be coming home from uk and they'll be celebrating my nephew's first bday with us. im so looking forward to meeting the little one. i heard he's such a racket. and he's so cute and adorable!!!

ok, so now my sister has tasked me of looking at afforbale apartments, somewhere they could live in during their stay. her budget's reasonable but i want to still find her the cheapest but really comfy place. they're looking at makati as main point but is negotiable depending on the place's amenities. if you have any suggestions, just leave a message!

While spending our leisure time at home a few weeks ago, I've decided to take photos of Adam. What a stage mom I am! well I don't mind, I'm proud of my kid. I think I did quite a pretty good job. What do you think?

I wish i photograph as well as my son. but i have been staying up late, waking up real early. i have a lot of projects on my plate and i now have to resort to quick fix - trying to cover up with eye cream. work will ease in the next couple of weeks before becoming toxic again, prior to the christmas season. hope our little family can squeeze in some good .quality time together before it happens!

My husband's uncle recently gave Adam a very cute puppy. It's a half Pomeranian and half Japanese spitz. And she's a very, very noisy pup. Always barking. With her very tiny but sharp sounding bark. But she's so adorable, very fluffy coz she has this white fur like a cotton. adam was asked which breed he wants. he originally wanted a pitbull, which he said he will name fish ball just because it rhymes with pitbull *lol*. then he said he wants a shar pei. i joked that the dog will be very expensive to maintain as it will need lots of wrinkle cream. and finally, settled for this one. she's so adorable and i think he made the right choice!

the philippines, particularly the metropolis, recently faced a natural disaster. a very strong typhoon destroyed lots of properties, took a lot of lives and left a lot homeless. keep your donations coming, to help our fellow filipinos get over this tragedy and reclaim their lives again.

fortunately, nothing serious happened to our families. we're all safe and warm in alabang while my parent's house only got a foot high water in the house. nothing that a good clean can't fix.

our youngest brother was wise enough to leave his car in mapua where it's higher. otherwise, it would have been soaked like our other brother's. water leaked in his car but nothing as serious as those cars in uerm. he had it washed already and has been replacing auto accessories ever since. taking the opportunity i guess.

fortunately, the other typhoon, parma, didnt cause much damage as ketsana. i just hope nothing like this happens again. not until those badly affected get their lives back. it's hard to be slapped one after the other.

Traumatic

while our little family is on our way to makati earlier today, we witnessed a motorcycle accident. OMG! it's bloody! the bike driver was sideswiped by a huge truck coming from south expressway. poor bike driver! i hope his family will be able to afford a lawyer (like the Oakland motorcycle accident lawyer) to at least be able to prosecute the truck driver and make him pay for his carelessness.

traffic is bad here in the philippines. most drivers dont have discipline. there's no order and you can pay off the traffic enforcer. geesh!

anyways, may the motorcycle driver rest in peace.

Color Me Nails

Before i look for an equestrian apparel for our neighbor (who thought i know where to find the cheapest just because i work for a fashion store), here is my collection of nail colors.

I especially like nail colors from Elianto. The colors are very long lasting, doesn't chip off. I also love the ones from skin food, because it has very vibrant colors, just one coat and you're off to go. As you can see, I'm into shades of red, for me I just feel like red is the color of sexiness. Anyways, not that I'm planning on opening a manicure/pedicure spa, it just so happens that I loooooove putting on nail colors. I just feel like I have sexy feet whenever I have one on, especially the dark ones. But I only wear one on my feet, never on my hand, except when there's an occasion.

Anyways, I change my nail color EVERY WEEK, no misses. And did I mention that I'm the one doing my nails. Not to brag about it, but I'm quite good in applying one. Just to clear things out, and I'm not selling my service. hehehe!

Not A Plague

i was annoyed. still am actually.

i attended a cousin's bday party and one of her guests brought her son with her. unfortunately, her son didnt behave. my cousin told me that her son has adhd (attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder). that figures. but i hated what the other guests were saying. OUT LOUD! they were damning the boy's parents for not raising him well. of course the mom doesnt go around telling everybody about his son's condition, so probably other people had an excuse. but ignorance is not an excuse. they dont have any reason to gossip right in front of the mom. kainis talaga!

but i absolutely commend the mom. she's not ashamed of her little boy. no parents should be. it's not their child's fault. he was born with probably a defective gene or something (sorry, im not a psychologist!). he's into adhd treatment and his mom said that he's making good progress.

i hope people will understand this condition more. or probably, being sensitive and tactful is enough.

New Bathroom

im thinking of having our bathroom renovated. remember what happened to my dear son a few months ago (the bathroom door slammed on his thumb making it bleed non stop, thus needing emergency surgery)? still gives me the creeps everytime i remember. plus the fact that the flush of our toilet bowl is touch and go. and while we're at it, probably change the tiles as well? *lol*

i hope dear husband will approve. my dad's people will do it for us, that will make it cheaper. we only have to pay for the materials. labor will be free. will tell him tomorrow. hope he's in a good mood.

my sister is asking me to canvass for various baby items. i think they'll be starting a business in the uk selling baby stuff not readily available there. my sister is being OC about having everything that will make taking care of a baby easy and just imagine her frustration when she couldnt find most of them in the UK market. either she has to order from the philippines or from the states, both having ridiculous shipping costs.

anyways, i am looking forward to this as well. i design baby clothes in my spare time so my sister said they can sell my line as well. yippee!!

cant wait for them to finish building their website and populating their online shop. maybe they should have a look at POS systems already. excited!

my brother, who is based in dubai, collects model cars. he shares the same passion with my uncle. i dont get it. you buy them yet you just put them on display. he doesnt even let his son play with it. ok, his son is just over a year old but hello! it's still a toy for me =D. he calls his collection his toys!

when he reads this, he'll taunt back - why am i into cosmetics, bags, etc. fine. we all have our own "passion".

im sure if i tell him i know where to get cheap Ferrari parts, he'll spend the rest of the night deciding what to buy.

i have read that from the age of 25(?), women should start using anti-ageing skin products. otherwise, fine lines will soon appear, whether we like it or not. skin will also be dehydrated, especially in a hot country like ours. i use moisturisers, cleansers, i even go to the derma regularly. but is that enough? do i have to use special products to prevent having wrinkles? i am vain. like most of the women population of the world *lol*. problem is, if i use the wrong product, i get breakouts. and then i would need acne treatment products on top of the anti-wrinkles one.

hay. it's too hard to stay flawless. why are we vain?

before i search for used rv for sale for my cousin's friend, let me share with you the wardrobe basics

I've trimmed it down to 9 categories, what every woman should invest for in her closet.

First on our list is the classic shirt. A must have is a white. It can either have feminine details such as ruffled neckline, pleated front, or detailed collar. But don't forget that it must be versatile enough to work with almost all bottoms. Well, if you don't have a white shirt, any neutral or earth colored shirt will do.

Second is a good pair of pant. One that you can wear for your corporate meetings. Black is very classic, just make sure the cut is right for your body type. You could never go wrong with a straight cut style. Wide leg pants and manly trousers are also a classic picks.

Blazers/Jackets/Suits. One must pick the right cut and color coz its so versatile it can go with almost every outfit you have. Layering is a technique to update your look.

Dressy tops. Pick those with potential to go from daytime look to night out with girls look. Fabric is very important in choosing one for it should follow your silhoutte and should accentaute your assets.

Jeans. An ultra super dark pair is a must have in a girl's closet. Although, FYI, darker jeans hide a big bottom while a lighter washes suit lean frames. A great fitting flares never goes out of trend.

Skirt. Invest in pieces with versatile waistline. One that stand the test of time. If you love your legs, then flaunt it, wear a slightly above the knee skirt.

Day time dresses, or what most women called, the sunday dress. A solid color that will match your skin tone and that you can use over and over again. The trick in achieving different looks with just one dress is layering and accessorizing.

Everyday - anything goes outfit. One that you're comfortable to wear. An outfit you won't regret of wearing it out.

And lastly, The LBD, the little black dress. Pick a cut that flatters your figure and hides your flaws. If your LBD is super plain, accessorize it. Or if you really want your LBD to stand out, buy one with beads and sequins work.

Things I Never Go Without

Whenever I go out of town I usually bring a lot of stuff, but here are the most important things I don't go and can't live without:

Vanity kit: Shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, tea tree facial soap, body soap, cotton balls, 3 different lotions (one is for the whole body, another one is a firming lotion and lastly whitening lotion for the dark spots).

Make up kit: Mac studio fix compact powder, Palladio eyebrow pencil, Lancome juicy tube lip gloss, Clinique nude lipstick, Artdeco olive green eyeliner, Benefit eye bright

Medicine kit: One a day Multivitamins, Vit.C, Advil, Myra Vit. E, Biogesic, Alaxan, Sinutab

Wallet and Coin Purse. Definitely can't go out without with these.

N95 8G, Nokia 6300. Though there are dead spots especially when using the Sun Cellular.

Chargers. (Digicam and Cellphones) Ofcourse, can't use your gadgets if it's low battery or even worse, dead batt.

Sony T90 Digicam. It's so light and handy you can even put it in your pouch bag.

Pair of shades for protection in the eye.

Fibrella umbrella. You'll never know when it's going to rain or when it's super hot. Clothes ofcourse! Especially jacket with hood and shawls.

and if it's hubby, he wont leave without the rackmount for my extra stuff *lol*

Prince Adam

During the Linggo ng Wika, my son's school had a parade, wherein students had to go to school in their Filipino costume. I thought about what should Adam wear for this event. Being a stage mommy to him, I thought of several possible options. Barongs and the typical red pants with camisa de chino was so overrated, definitely I want him to stand out. My first choice was the Igorot's "bahag" but unfortunately couldn't find the "bahag" itself, though I was able to find the vest. Then I saw this boy mannequin wearing a Moslem attire. So I immediately bought one and when I got home I excitedly put it on Adam, then took pictures of him. He's like a prince, so handsome. He really looks like mommy! (will need to shed a few pounds. maybe ellipticals will help)
