 Last September 30, that was a cloudy Tuesday, me and my son woke up early, around 6:ooam. we had to get up that early because their meeting time is around 7:ooam. they'd be going to the La Mesa Eco Park in Greater Lagro. This will be their field trip for the year 2008, last year they went in Tagaytay, some zoo there. my mother-in-law accompanied him since it's compulsory for parents or guardians to accompany their children. anyways, they did gardening and play around the park...needless to say, he enjoyed the trip.Labels: adam
my dad bought some industrial clamps which they will use in one of his construction projects. my son, adam, saw it when we visited their house and played with it. now he wants to have one. he discovered that he can join and hold pieces together. that he can cut 2 things at the same time with them. little joys for the little kid. i think he's being influenced by my dad (not intentionally) to become an engineer. everytime we visit my parent's house, adam will surely learn one thing or two about engineering and construction.
i dont mind really. as long as he's learning. and im open for options. he can be an engineer. or a doctor. or get into advertising like us, his parents. as long as he takes his studies seriously, we'll support him all the way. Labels: money money money
i heard from someone that this couple, who's deeply buried in debt already, got themselves a brand new 48" LCD TV on installment. they are to pay 2k php per week (i have already converted it into the local currency as not to give away who this couple is) for 36months. how pathetic is that! they got this because they didnt have to go through credit checks which im sure they'll fail because of their humongous debt. do they need the tv? no, not really. they just like competing with other people even if they dont have the means. really, pathetic! my hubby's car insurance is about to expire. so he's now looking at various auto insurance quotes again. it's very difficult as there's a lot to consider. comprehensiveness, fees itself, add-ons, etc. lots to think about. i told him to just renew his old one but he said it would be very expensive. finding a new one will be cheaper.

i dont cook. even my siblings dont. our parents cooked for us. that's why we never learned. but when you have your own family, it's essential. fortunately for me, we've got househelp. even if we dont, i dont think i have the time to cook for my family. i get home late. my husband comes home late (blame the traffic!). our son will starve if not for our very able househelps.
but i went to a friend's party and boy, she prepared all the food herself. i couldnt believe it! like me, she used to be clueless in the kitchen. but she took up a short cooking course and it got her hooked. i loved her sweet potato pie the most. im going to ask for her recipe and maybe try it one of these days. lots of people are really feeling the credit crunch. one of hubby's high school friend, who migrated to the US 3 years ago, was made redundant from work. and to top his misfortunes, he fell sick just a week after requiring hospitalization. must be all the stress he's been going through! bless him.
fortunately, he still have his NC health insurance, he didnt need to dig deep into their savings. he's planning to look for a new job as soon as he's well enough. im sure he can do it, with determination and his skills, he'll find another job in no time.

my cousin is having her debut on saturday. everything's ready. only, because of the stress of organizing one grand event, she ended up having acne on her back and she's wearing a backless gown! now she's in dire need of some acne treatment and she's hoping it works fast. she's seeing her derma tomorrow. hopefully, it will only take a few days to get the acne eliminated. she's even considering havign injections if it will make them go away a lot faster.
i really wish her well. she's been preparing for this party ever since she was 13! but im sure, with or without acne, people wont notice as they will see how radiant she is on her big day. Labels: money money money
my friend jean is very unlucky when it comes to cellphones. imagine, in the span of 4 months, she had 3 already, thanks to all those pick pockets and thieves roaming around the metropolis, claiming life is hard so they'd rather steal from someone else than find something decent to feed them. imbyerna!
she's now looking for cell insurance quotes and having her new phone insured. not that she's been inviting robbers to steal from her, she's just unlucky. she even resorted to not buying one anymore! but she needs the phone for work. hopefully, the robbers will give her some slack. and hope they rot in hell! my mom is excited about this new "pill", lipovox and even sent me a Lipovox review so i can read about it. she said it contains "superfoods" that will not only help her reduce weight but will be good to the body in general. most pills have side effects but this one, will give a better complexion and will soften wrinkles. she's tried everything and nothing seems to work. how about eating less to start with? love you mom! peace!  Back in college, we have this subject called Fashion Art Design. Here we get to design garments. Every year, 3rd year students from Advertising Arts get to showcase their talent in fashion designing in a fashion show. During my time, that was 3 years ago, the theme for our fashion show was M.U.S.T. or Music Sets Style, wherein students get to choose inspirations from different music genres. I wasn't planning in joining the fashion show since it would be costly for my part because you have to produce the actual design and the minimum design is 3 sets. My friend insisted that we join, and she got me as her model for her 80's genre. As for me I chose the 60's psychedelic genre, good thing nobody else did. Fortunately, I won the Most Promising Designer for the year, and not only that, I also won the best model for Jag, since we got them to sponsor our fashion show. my birthday is coming up in a few days but i havent felt the excitement yet. maybe because im turning a year older but none the wiser? hehe. or maybe i have a lot on my wish list, that i am expecting more but with the credit crunch and all, im also sure i wont get.
but really, what's important is that my family is healthy and safe. that's all im wiching for. no kikay stuff, no flash memory, no travels. as long as everyone's ok, im happy. Labels: money money money
i have read online the news that the world's heaviest (largest?) man is getting hitched to his fiancee of 2 years. they have been together i think for 4 years now and inspite of his body frame (think massive!), she loves him with all her heart, even served as his inspiration to lose weight. he used to weigh 560kgs but now, i think he lost half of it. he still couldnt walk though but with the way his diet's going, i dont think it's too far off. it's become a possibility.
what was his diet called? zone diet? or did he take Phentermine? whatever! he's in love. he's willing to lose weight and someone loves him back despite the fact they havent really been gone on a date. well, im just assuming bec he still couldnt get off his custom made bed. see what love can do! hubby was late picking me up from work earlier. i have almost gone through our entire stock of fashion mags in the office. i love reading them but the weight loss pill reviews are all over the magazines and i just hate the fact that it encourages a lot more people to go slim and not be thankful for the bodies that we're given to them. i know it's easy for me to say because i dont gain weight easily but i do understand that there are people not happy with their weight. i just wish they'll find a healthier alternative (if there's such a word) but i guess if it works, then probably there's nothing wrong with them?
o well, this is what 2 hours of waiting can do to your mind. it gets fried! Labels: money money money
we've been teasing our youngest brother because he's been boasting about the car that my dad's buying for him, which was first promised march this year and it's already october and no sign of any car. however, my dad has already ordered the car. they are just waiting for stock (or is dad just leading my brother on? hehe). to make him more giddy with excitement, my dad asked him to get a good car insurance quote. he's been staying up late trying to find one that will get my dad's approval. but without the actual car yet, all he can do is look at all those quotes and wish the car will come into fruition soon.
