PONG's 1st Birthday

My nephew's going to celebrate his first birthday here in the Philippines this coming November. I already made reservations (since they're out of the country)at the Max's Restaurant in Scout Tuazon, I think it's their first and largest branch here. I personally went there and saw the place, and got their Playland Claro as for our party place. It was big enough to accommodate at least 60 adults and 30 kids, i think. It also has a big playground so kids can enjoy and play at the party. Out of the three themes available (car racing, fashion diva,animal kingdom), I chose the car racing, since his dad likes cars. it was a relief that they have packages available, so as to spare me the stress of planning a party and it's financially wiser to celebrate parties in venues that offer packages. Anyways I made this invitation in advance for my sister-in-law so she could get a vacation leave (just to show her employer) since I don't have the actual invitation from Max's.

i was out of circulation for a while. i've been vomitting and suffering from diarrhea so bad i had to see the doctor already. i went last monday and was jsut prescribed some antibiotics. she told me it's food poisoning. im now wondering which food i ate caused this? i dont know anybody who suffered the same fate as i am. i lost some weight in the process (who needs a diet pill?!).

im still resting and with my mom arriving tomorrow, im sure i'll gain back the weight i lost. we'll be eating out like crazy and trying to spend as much time as we can. she's leaving on the 22nd so we have to take advantage of every moment that we have. actually, im just excited with her pasalubongs more than anything else =)

Renovations



i just hopped on to my sister's blog and found out they're renovating their bathroom and toilet. about time, i say! theirs is so 50's! too bad labor costs are too expensive there, unlike here, she'll probably employ one of our dad's staff and everything will be sorted.

she asked me before to design a contemporary bath for them. unfortunately, it's not my forte. and if i have my way, i want something classic, like farmhouse sinks, shower and bath. she wont have it im sure. it took her this long to convince my brother in law to renovate their t&b, she'll make sure she'll buy all the "arte" fixtures that she's been eyeing for a long time.

it rained a lot recently and with the temperature being lower than usual, it made me want to eat more (yeah, i ate more!). fortunately, no matter how much i eat, i dont gain weight (though i really wanna gain a bit more). some of my colleagues are panicking because they've been changing their dress sizes quicker than they can stop themselves from overeating. some even resorted to Leptitrex. one attest to it being effective, while another one prefers natural means of losing weight - exercising!

i wish i can relate to their problems. on second thought, at least i can eat whatever i want without watching out for what i eat!

Upgraded



we have upgraded our tv to a flatscreen lcd one. hubby has been saving for one for months and he's quite happy that he's finally able to save enough without asking any 'contributions' from his uncle =)

for my share, i will have to buy the tv furniture and we might do it next weekend. scrap that, will do it the week after that as my mom's coming home fr the US and we want to spend as much time as we can. she's only staying for 4 days before flying to dubai naman. she'll be surprised with our new purchase!
