Yesterday, me, adam and my mom went to Mall of Asia to stroll. while my mom was shopping for some accessories to give as pasalubong when she goes to the states, i found a very unique ring. it's so unique that i was itching to buy it. the only thing that keeps me from buying it was that it's quite expensive. it's a silver ring with an amethyst stone. the design was really one of a kind and when my mom saw it she advised me to buy it because it's very rare and unique. anyways to cut the long story short, i bought the ring and i just cant get enough of it. i would always wear it and put it back in its box then i would wear it again and put it back... so much for the ring. well, at least it's a good find.

my brother arrived from saudi today. he's on holiday after 18 months of being away from home. he only has a couple of luggages with him as he's already sent 2 balikbayan boxes ahead of him (which came the other day). he saw my mom's luggage (who's leaving thursday for the states) and was teasing her like she's not coming back home. she defended it's not all for her but for my sister as well, who'll be meeting her there in june. she had to buy a new luggage because the other one got damaged when she went to dubai. a Rimowa bag would have been nice. but she bought hers already before i could even suggest!

i wish it would be me next to go abroad!

Crash Diet



my mom is off to the US this thursday. she and my aunt will be attending a wedding this coming weekend and she's now on a crash diet. i told her to start months ago! but would she have any of it? no! she's thinking of taking Phentermine to help her lose weight. i said she should have eaten less when she still have time!

Long and Winding Road



as i've said in my previous post, we went on a long drive up north, to pagudpod. i hate long drives as it makes me dizzy, reason why i rarely visit my hubby's mom's hometown in tuguegarao. i dont know if they have a local airport there, but seriously, i'd rather pay for airfares than sit for more than 5 hours on the road. since it's a long drive (and we passed by some rough roads), it's really best that you have good auto insurance. im sure your cars will be badly beaten and having the car serviced or whathaveyou, might cost an arm and a leg!

after so many failed invitations, last weekend, I've decided to go with my husband's family trip to pagudpod. i was so hesitant to go with them because of the long drive, i usually get motion sickness (imagine almost 13 hours on the road) but since i don't have work last Saturday and they promised that we'll be home by Sunday, me and my family decided to join them. our stay there was really fun because the place was nice (my husband's uncle has a newly opened resort) and the food was great. but as I've said to my husband, never again will i go there by land (felt like dying, i got nauseous and the coaster was really uncomfortable). we arrived in manila Monday at 3am and the worst part was, I've got to wake up 6am in the morning since I've got to go to work.

everytime we watch a dvd, i noticed that we're having closed captioning all the time! we're now teasing one another that we're getting deafer and deafer. but my brother thinks it's because we're having a hard time understanding english! of course not! *lol*

it makes watching easier. we seldom rewind the film just to check what the dialogue was! my husband don't get annoyed when i awsk him: "what did he say?".

it's free, might as well use it!

Acne Help



my officemate has always had problem with acne. the problem with her, she pops them! yuck! not anymore, though, as she learned the hard way that it will leave nasty scars on her face. too bad, the damage has been done. she's very pretty if not for the uneven skin on her face.

there are lots of acne treatment about. you really have to consult a specialist (dermatologist, if necessary) instead of going about doing it yourself. you might end up with a bigger problem than having it solved!

No Green Thumb



that's my sister. when my mom was in england last year, she planted some flowers in her back garden. almost a year on, we've just heard that, unfortunately, the plants "did not make it". *lol*. my sister's not good with gardening. she would rather flex her fingers on her keyboard than do something worthwhile (don't worry, i've got permission to thrash her haha!). that's why when she asked what im sending her (through my mom) for her birthday, i told her i'll get her some of those silk flowers. low maintenance for her!

i heard my sister's going to a health club. that made me L0L! im sure (as she has claimed already) she only joined because of her shopping perks c/o my brother in law! i could just hear her: "i can't do this because i don't have this.. i need to buy this..". and working out how to operate the treadmills will be a sight to see! she may be brunette but she sure has some blonde moments! (well, no offense meant to all blondes - just going by the general saying).
