my dad found out im trying to learn how to drive. he told me to learn how to drive an automatic car instead so i can have his other one. im sure when my younger brother finds out, he'll go ballistic as he's been wooing my dad for that car. but i heard dad's planning to buy him his own. thing is, no dates yet of when it will happen!
anyways, he said if i have the car, i would need to sort out the car insurance by myself. well, that's a fair deal to me! Labels: money money money
my boss mentioned investor relations to us in our last meeting. i had no clue what he was talking about. he did not go into details, he just mentioned it empassing. i looked it up and it meant: department within a public company that distributes information about the company and its financial performance to existing and potential shareholders.
now i get it. they are planning to expand, thus the need to have a group of people prepare documents and stuff to better explain what the company is about and what investors are going to get into. ok. that's something new i learned today! yey! Labels: money money money
hubby's cousin is getting married next month. we're planning a bridal shower (no, it's not a surprise one, so she can read it here in my blog =D) with her friends and we'll be booking a hotel as venue. i haven't really found the perfect bridal shower gift for her but when i found this sexy chemise online, i teased my hubby im getting one for myself as well. hahaha!

i know have been a bad blogger lately. been negligent of this blog, my page ranking has suffered. unfortunately, i can't blog often. adam currently doesn't have a yaya, as his last one got pregnant (by our driver, sus!). we're having a hard time looking for a replacement. we're very particular with whoever will be with my son for most of the day. fortunately, it was my mom-in-law who's been bringing and fetching my son to/fr school. and now my mom's back, we're staying at my parent's house. she's taking care of the brat and at the moment, adam has a slight fever. probably his tonsils are inflammed.
work has lighten up a little bit but still doesn't leave me with enough time for myself. hence, the long absence. we went to quezon with my family for the holy week and it was just pure bliss! i will upload pictures when i get the time.

my cousin's moving from new jersey to new york. she has accepted a very nice offer in the city, which was so hard to refuse. they will even pay for her rent for the 1st 6 months. and you know how much it costs to live in manhattan! she will also be provided with a company car, although she's not really looking forward to it. traffic is very similar to manila, i was told! she's excited but a little anxious. she's worried that her life will just be thrown into the jungle and won't be able to escape. im sure she'll cope alright.
first thing she needs to do though is find a mover NYC to get all her stuff transported to the city. we told her new jersey is just a few minutes away. she can always go back home! Labels: money money money
my relatives have said time and again that when they retire, they would probably relocate to north carolina. because it's only a few years away, they're planning to go on holiday this summer to sample what life would be like there. they're looking for Outer Banks rentals and would probably stay for a month or two. wow, that's a looong break! im sure they can't wait till they retire. they've been working hard for years and wanted to just take it easy when they retire. that's a good plan to me! we are currently at my parent's house and i couldn't help but overhear my mom's conversation with her 2nd cousin. she's asking if my mom knows anybody who could help her son. he's been binge drinking EVERY night and he's being a nuisance to everybody. she wants to nip it at the bud while she can. she wants to put him in an alcohol rehab and straighten him out. i wonder what's going on in his mind. his parents are cool and they're like buddies. what else can he be stressing about? peer pressure? i hope he gets his life sorted! what little time i have for myself (or at least, for my own benefit), i try to be pro-active, learning new stuff. my hubby has been teaching me how to drive. so far so good. i was able to go around our village without any hassles. we try to do this every weekend. bonding time na din. but i would still like to enrol in a driving school as im sure, not all of my hubby's driving habits are acceptable and legal!
next thing im trying out is learning conversational Mandarin. then boxing! tell me, can i still do all these when i have been complaining of not having enough time for my family as it is?! Labels: dailies
hubby's uncle has contracted the same IT company that set up our network at the office. i told him i can't vouch for their work because they had to come twice to sort out what my brother-in-law said as a simple networking job. but he doesn't want to look for somebody else. anyway, it's just for home use. if only me and hubby are as techy as my brother in law im pretty sure we'll be able to do it ourselves. all we need to do is to buy some fiber cable and set up the system. but we couldn't be bothered. we don't want to mess it up so i think, going with that IT company is the lesser of two evils =) Labels: money money money
cousins are coming over this summer and they're asking me for suggestions on Condo Hotels they could book for their stay. i invited them to stay at our place bec. we have plenty of space at home but they were adamant they don't want to intrude too much. they said they'll be happy to stay with us for a few nights but not the entire 3 weeks that they're in the philippines. i assured them they are most certainly welcome but if they really want to stay in a condotel, i'll canvass for them. they're not so hard to please. as long as it's in a safe area, accessible, affordable, they'll be happy! adam was talking to his mommy g (ate cheche) over the phone and we were just surprised when he told her, out of nowhere, that she doesn't have to buy him a laptop anymore. huh? we were surprised because my sister did not promise to give him one. then i remembered i bought him a toy one because he was always bugging me to use mine. we couldn't stop laughing! my son could be hilariously smart at times. mother-in-law bought a new lcd tv. her sons (my hubby and his brother) quickly urged her to buy HDMI splitters so they can connect all their gadgets and enjoy the high definition experience. i was teasing her not to give in as im sure, they'll be visiting her more often for the wrong reasons. but im sure as well, that she'll do as told. she loves her boys too much and they're quite spoiled. she might end up buying them their own hdtvs! tsk tsk.. literally, amy winehouse is wasted. and so are others of young celebrities in hollywood that you would think it's the latest fad. if you haven't done drugs, you're not in. fortunately, there are lots of drug treatment centers that they can turn to for help. sometimes, i think it's just all a show. especially when their star's brightness are fading, it's one way of keeping them known. what a waste of talent! we have never done any home improvements in our home. it's usually the in-laws that deals with it. i know we're blessed to have that covered, without us really stressing about it. but sometimes i'm wondering what our house would look like, how we would manage if it was us who's dealing with everything.
one thing's for sure, directbuy will help us with our home needs. they have useful articles, diy tips, expert advice that home makers can rely on. will probably tell my sister about it. they're planning on renovating their bathroom and toilet. Labels: money money money

my parents told us to invest on lands. we're not really keen on it as (1) they're too expensive and (2) our parents can just give their lands to us =). but they've got a point. it's a better investment than bags, shoes, clothes. do you know you can already buy land online? yeah! it's just like shopping for your favorite things, except, you're making a wiser decision. it's only the 1st of march, yet i feel like i've been working for a whole year already! work has been chaotic. family life has been a bit rough lately. i don't want to delve in that. but what i do know is, we need a break! a holiday. a vacation! that's what im gonna do. im going to search for vacation deals and im gonna pack our bags and take that much needed rest. i feel old already! hubby's wanting to sell our car and buy another one. of course, we don't have the means yet so he'll have to hold on with what he has at the moment. we have other priorities. anyways, he's been salivating on a dodge car and knowing him, it doesn't end with just buying the car. he dresses them up! im sure he'll buy all Dodge Magnum accessories he can to pimp his ride. but reality check, we don't have any budget for it. but as he said, dreaming is free.
