Simplified
my boss mentioned investor relations to us in our last meeting. i had no clue what he was talking about. he did not go into details, he just mentioned it empassing. i looked it up and it meant: department within a public company that distributes information about the company and its financial performance to existing and potential shareholders.
now i get it. they are planning to expand, thus the need to have a group of people prepare documents and stuff to better explain what the company is about and what investors are going to get into. ok. that's something new i learned today! yey!
