a runaway bride
I have this office mate and she's getting married this coming January 2008... the problem is.. she is having second thoughts on whether to push through with it or not.. and what's sad about it is it's for the second time around (just another runaway bride). Her wedding date was supposedly this September 2007 and she postponed it because she's not sure if she's ready to commit. And now, for the past several days, she is thinking of postponing it again (too bad for the guy) and she's having a hard time about it (restless nights). Just imagine, downpayments have been made and since it will be for the second time around, everybody knows that they are getting married, families and friends (imagine the shame to face). And what's sad about it is everybody including her family is in favor of the guy. I haven't met the guy but based on her story, he's a perfect guy but sadly not too perfect for her. And i think if she's going to postpone it again, there will be no third time around. I feel sad for those people who just can't seem to be contented with what's life got to offer. But we must understand that not all people think the same way... and now the question to answer is whom do you choose...the one you love or the one who loves you?

In your friend's case, I'd go with the one she loves. We can always make the money we lose, but we can never turn back time. Besides, life is too short to care what anyone thinks and she's doubting the upcoming wedding as it is (not a good sign). Good luck to your friend; I hope she runs :D.
